Curlew Cottage is a homely holiday retreat located in the scenic village of Dittisham, Devon, within the South West of England. This pet-friendly cottage accommodates up to four guests and boasts breathtaking views of the river and surrounding valley from its garden, conservatory, and master bedroom. Its prime location allows visitors to easily access the village and quay, where they can enjoy local attractions such as the popular Anchorstone Café and Ferry Boat Inn, or take ferries to nearby Dartmouth and Greenway.

The interior of Curlew Cottage is designed for comfort and convenience, beginning with a welcoming entrance hall that provides space for coats and boots. The cozy lounge features a traditional brick fireplace with an open fire, along with a sofa, two armchairs, and a television with a DVD player. Descending from the lounge, guests will find a well-equipped kitchen-diner complete with modern appliances, including an oven, hob, integrated fridge-freezer, and microwave, as well as a dining area. A door leads from the kitchen to a bright conservatory, which offers additional dining space and stunning views of the garden and river, while also housing the washer-dryer.

Accessed via a narrow staircase from the sitting room, the cottage has two inviting bedrooms and a family bathroom. The en-suite master bedroom features an iron bedstead and a small adjoining dressing room, providing picturesque river views. The second bedroom is equipped with twin iron beds and a homely feature fireplace. The family bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower, and there is also a small WC conveniently located at the bottom of the stairs. The cottage is heated with electric heating and an open fire, with a basket of logs provided from October to April.

Outside, Curlew Cottage offers a delightful garden with well-maintained flowerbeds, a lawn, and stunning river views. A paved area with garden furniture allows guests to fully appreciate the beautiful surroundings. While there is no private parking available, guests can pull up outside to unload and find unrestricted parking nearby on Riverside Road. The village pub, The Red Lion, is just a short two-minute walk away and also serves as the local shop and post office. A leisurely ten-minute stroll leads to The Quay, where visitors can enjoy the Ferry Boat Inn, The Anchorstone Café, and ferry services to Greenway and Dartmouth, as well as explore the natural beauty of nearby landmarks like Coleton Fishacre House & Gardens and Dartmoor National Park.
