Occupying a spot in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, within the picturesque Heart of England region, the Princess Elizabeth cottage offers a charming retreat that accommodates up to four guests. This delightful property, named after the historical figure who later became Queen Elizabeth I, was originally part of a paper mill. It has been meticulously restored to preserve its character while providing modern comforts. The cottage is one of four accommodations, including Lady Jane Grey and two apartments, all featuring original exposed walls and beams that enhance its rustic charm.

The cottage's layout is thoughtfully arranged over two floors. Upon entering through a covered porch, guests are welcomed into a small hallway equipped with coat hooks, leading to an open-plan kitchen that boasts a range of modern appliances, including a Neff cooker, fridge/freezer, and Nespresso coffee machine. The kitchen offers ample storage in its off-white cabinets and wooden work surfaces, while a welcome pack featuring tea, coffee, and snacks is provided for the first day. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining area with a large oak table, perfect for enjoying meals together, and a cozy living area that opens out to a private courtyard, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploration.

On the first floor, the cottage features two bedrooms: a light and airy king-size double bedroom with views of the river and a spacious twin bedroom showcasing original oak beams and a decorative fireplace. Each bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with ample storage, bedside tables, and reading lamps, ensuring a comfortable stay. The family bathroom is equally inviting, featuring Shaker-style panelling, a full-size bath with an over-bath shower, and complimentary toiletries for guests' convenience.

Outside, guests can enjoy the private gravelled courtyard, furnished with a table and seating for four, making it a lovely spot for alfresco dining or unwinding in the evening sun. The cottage is ideally situated near local attractions, including Sudeley Castle and Hailes Abbey, and is surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
