The Snug is an enchanting terraced cottage located in the quaint village of Glaisdale, nestled in the picturesque Esk Valley of North Yorkshire, just 10 miles from the coastal town of Whitby. Accommodating two guests, this cozy retreat features a secluded courtyard, ideal for relaxation and enjoying the serene countryside views. The ground floor comprises an open-plan living space adorned with traditional beams, which includes a living area with an open fire, a 24" Freeview TV, and a DVD player, alongside a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen featuring modern appliances such as an electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer.

On the first floor, guests will find a comfortable bedroom furnished with a double bed, complemented by a bathroom that includes a shower over the bath, toilet, and a heated towel rail. The cottage is equipped with electric central heating, and essential amenities such as bed linen and towels are provided. For families traveling with young children, a travel cot and highchair are available upon request, while a welcome pack ensures a warm introduction to the property. The enclosed courtyard offers a private outdoor space, and there is a bike store available for cycling enthusiasts, with on-road parking provided for convenience.

Glaisdale serves as an excellent base for outdoor activities, with some of the best walking and cycling routes in Yorkshire right at your doorstep. The village is located just south of the River Esk, renowned for its fly fishing opportunities, and licenses can be conveniently purchased from the local shop. The Esk Valley Railway runs through Glaisdale, providing easy access to nearby towns including Whitby and Middlesbrough, while a scenic steam train from Whitby takes visitors over the moors to the market town of Pickering, enhancing the exploration of this beautiful region.

Less than 10 miles away, Whitby offers a vibrant array of shops, pubs, and restaurants, alongside its bustling working harbor where visitors can watch fishermen at work or enjoy leisure boat rides.
