Stay at The Flying Scotsman to experience glamping at its best. Heavenly views from the deck of your hand-crafted Shepherd's hut. A luxurious interior, with comfortable beds (one king-size and one double cabin bed), a proper cooker and sink and an en-suite shower room. There's even underfloor heating.
It's as perfect for a romantic retreat as it is for a family holiday. This glamping lodge is ideal for families (because of the steep steps up to the mezzanine bed, we think it's best for children over 6). Children will love the freedom of glamping - romping around the huge field, discovering the secret hideaway with a treehouse and tree swing, and playing by the stream. There are walking routes from the door, including a footpath taking you directly to the local pub, The Tanners Arms, just 2 and half miles away.
Accommodation
Sleeps 2 + 2 children in 1 king, 1 elevated double bed
The attractive modern exterior is clad with Welsh red cedar as is the balcony decking. The outside seating has also been made locally and is well positioned to take in the captivating countryside.
The interior of the hut is all open plan and handmade with underfloor heating throughout. The king sized bed is at the one end of the hut made up with luxury linen and tartan accents, with the other bed space nestled on a mezzanine style level above the kitchen; this is accessed via steep ladder stairs so children should be supervised at all times when using this. There is a fold out table with enough space to seat 4 and a good amount of storage for personal items.
The kitchen has been designed to maximise space with the Belfast sink hidden away under the worktop to allow for more counter space. The kitchen also has a full size electric cooker with gas hob and toaster - the Billy camp stove heats the kettle.
The modern bathroom has an electric shower and towel rail, toilet and hand basin.
