Located in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, this detached holiday home is an ideal retreat for families or groups of friends, accommodating up to 12 guests. The property boasts large walled gardens and features such as nearby pubs and proximity to the coast, making it a perfect touring base. The house, built in 1880 from red sandstone and whinstone, has been elegantly renovated while preserving its historical charm, including decorative cornices and marble fireplaces. Guests can enjoy modern amenities like gas central heating, Wi-Fi, and a welcome pack, along with a hot tub and ample parking facilities.

The interior of the house is thoughtfully arranged over three floors. On the ground floor, there is a spacious lounge equipped with a 50" Freeview TV, a dining room, and a large kitchen that includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A utility room with a washing machine and a kingsize bedroom, along with a shower room, complete this level. The first floor features a second lounge with another 50" Freeview TV, three additional bedrooms (two with kingsize beds and one with zip and link twin beds), and two bathrooms, one with a shower over the bath and the other with both a bath and shower. The second floor hosts two more kingsize bedrooms, ensuring ample sleeping arrangements for all guests.

Stranraer serves as an excellent base for exploring the stunning Dumfries and Galloway region, as well as the rugged Ayrshire coastline and the nearby port of Cairnryan, which offers day trips to Ireland. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty, featuring renowned attractions like the Logan Botanical Gardens and picturesque ports such as Sandhead and Portpatrick. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling, with the Southern Upland Way and the famous 7Stanes cycling routes nearby. The RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway nature reserve is also a highlight, attracting thousands of seabirds during the spring and summer months.
