With patio doors leading to a large enclosed garden and boasting wonderful countryside views, it really is a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.

This area of Scotland is home to beautiful scenery making The Stables a wonderful base. Walking, fishing, cycling, shooting are just some of the many activities on offer. The nearby Rescobie Loch provides fantastic brown trout fishing opportunities. For bird watchers, the Montrose Basin, approximately 12 miles away, is a real haven and a wonderful place for a family day out. The property is only 4 miles from Forfar itself, here you will find all the local amenities you could require including the Meffen Gallery and Museum and the Webster Theatre. Enjoy a lovely walk through Pitmuies Gardens or purchase some lovely local fresh produce at the monthly farmers market. If you enjoy a round of golf, then Forfar Golf Club is also close by, with St Andrews and Carnoustie both within short driving distance.

Why not visit the birthplace of JM Barrie in the near by Kirriemuir, or enjoy the stunning Scottish scenery with a drive through the Angus Glens.The coastal city of Dundee is approximately 20 miles away and is home to the fantastic V&A Museum and RRS Discovery. You will also find the Camperdown Park and plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained. Broughty Ferry Castle is well worth a visit and a great place to learn about the history of this local area. The Stables provides a truly warm and comfortable base from which to explore this diverse region of Scotland. Beach 12 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
