Number 10 is situated in the village of Cullipool, on the slate island of Luing, just 16 miles south of Oban. A short car or passenger ferry crossing takes only a few minutes and transports you to the ultimate get away from it all, relaxing experience. You can take time to enjoy everything that island living has to offer, from local history of the slate quarries to nature and your outdoor surroundings with the famous ‘Luing’ cattle. If you’re lucky, you may spot dolphins, seals, otters, basking sharks and sea eagles. This delightful, traditional, end of terrace slate workers cottage overlooks the Atlantic waters and the Firth of Lorne. It is located on the edge of a conservation village with a shop/post office, bakery, and café within walking distance.

The cottage is cosy, tastefully furnished and decorated with a warm, homely atmosphere and has an enclosed garden. The sitting room with multi-fuel stove is open plan with the dining area, and patio doors to the garden allow you to enjoy views over the charming garden and beyond. The spacious bedrooms also have views over the garden. Although quiet and rural, it is within a short drive of Oban, the Gateway to the Isles. Ideally situated for exploring the Oban area and mid-Argyll as well as Glencoe and Fort William. Regular ferry crossings offer easy access to the mainland, yet with the element of island adventure to enjoy.

The traditional cottage garden is enclosed by slate walls and has several different areas for sitting out and enjoying the views. Situated right on the shore, it’s a short walk to the slate beach where you can see the Garvellach islands, Isle of Mull, plentiful wildlife and passing boats.

Cullipool is a quiet, traditional island village with pretty white-washed cottages, a kids’ playpark, local boat trips and a village hall with regular events. The village of Toberonochy is a 4-mile drive, and bikes can be hired to explore at your leisure. The island of Luing is just 6 miles long by 1½ miles wide and can easily be explored on foot, by bike or car. North Cuan is only 10 minutes away, from where you can cross to the mainland on the ferry in the car or on foot. There is easy access to the island of Seil where there are several pubs, cafés and shops. Oban, the main town, with its varied range of eating places and plentiful shops is only a 40-minute drive. Beach 500 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub 10 miles and restaurant 500 yards.
