On road parking. No smoking.. The Bakehouse Apartment is set in the lovely market town of Rothbury, with two good-sized bedrooms, ideal for couples or a small family. Close to the pubs and the cute little micro bar with plenty of places to eat, it is ideal to walk along on a lunch time or evening. The apartment is on the first floor, the generously proportioned rooms are all part of the building that has been in the family for generations and sits above the family owned bakery.

Lovely walks can be taken along the riverside and the more active will love a walk up the Simonside Hills. Rothbury is only 2 miles from the National Park, famed for its dark skies. Nearby Cragside House is only half a mile with beautiful gardens to explore. Sitting almost in the middle of the county, Rothbury makes exploring easy. Alnwick Castle is only 12 miles, famous for the Harry Potter scenes, the Heritage Coast is easily reached where you can discover miles of golden beaches and friendly villages. The historic little town of Corbridge is only 30 miles away where you can visit Hadrian’s Wall, perhaps stopping at one of the Roman Museums. Newcastle city centre is only 30 miles where you can experience the vibrant city arts, museums, shops and nightlife. Northumberland is a diverse county with hills, moors, beautiful beaches, lots of castles and was voted the place to holiday in the British Tourism awards 2018 for a reason, this unspoilt friendly county has something to offer for all ages and tastes. Coming back to The Bakehouse Apartment after a day out exploring is a pleasure where you can sit and relax on the comfy sofas and cook a nice meal in the well-equipped kitchen or wander along to one of the local restaurants or pubs. Beach 16 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
