It is particularly close to Cinderford and Mitcheldean. Places of interest nearby include English Heritage’s Goodrich Castle, the National Trust Round House and Naval Temple, and Norchard Railway Station Museum on the Dean Forest Railway.
For those looking for an adventure, the lodge has easy access to the Forest Adventure Outdoor Centre, Puzzlewood and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum.
