Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, where there is a grand cascade waterfall and a superb treehouse restaurant. The entrance to Alnwick Castle, once the film location of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts, is close by too.

The pretty coastal village of Alnmouth is only 4 miles east where there is a glorious golden stretch of sweeping sands. A short drive inland brings you to the pretty town of Rothbury which sits at the foot of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills. Eileen’s Cottage makes a great base for those wishing to be close to town facilities yet easily accessible to the coastline to the east and the hills and open countryside to the west. Beach 4 miles. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
