Vale View Apartment in Porlock Weir is a light and airy, spacious first-floor apartment, within the west wing of a beautiful Edwardian hunting lodge. Patio doors open onto a private balcony from with table and chairs overlooking the front of the property. Sleeps up to 4 guests in two bedrooms. Vale View Apartment in Porlock Weir is set within the grounds of Porlock Vale House, an impressive country property dating back to the 19th century, Vale View Apartment is on the first floor of the west wing which was extended onto the main house.

Access to the property is via a small gated courtyard, the entrance door opens onto a flight of stairs up to the first level. The large open-plan kitchen-dining and living renjoys wonderful views over the garden and paddocks to the coastline beyond. There is also patio doors which open onto a balcony with outside table and chairs, looking over the front of the property. There are two bedrooms, one with king-size double bed, and one with twin beds. One family bathroom comprises a shower enclosure, bath, toilet and hand basin.

Garden View Apartment (on the ground floor below) is also let as holiday accommodation and sleeps up to 4 guests. The parking area and courtyard to the entrances are shared but each property has it’s own entrance and private outside area.

Dogs
Up to two dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. A supplementary fee of £30 will be added to your invoice per dog. Please do not allow your dog on the furniture and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

Smoking
The property is strictly non-smoking.

Arrival and departure
The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

Changeover days
Vale View is available for week-long bookings from Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks may be available.

Local amenities
The harbour is the 'centre' of Porlock Weir, which is less than 1/2 mile away. There are two restaurants and a pub (all three are dog-friendly) and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc. The village of Porlock is approximately 1.5 miles and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, petrol station, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops and tea rooms. Many of the shops in Porlock Weir and Porlock are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 7 miles away. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

This apartment is located in Minehead. Dovery Manor Museum and Holnicote Estate are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Exmoor National Park and Wringcliff Beach. Greencombe Gardens and Exmoor Adventures are also worth visiting.
