This wonderful well presented spacious 18th century detached cottage, is nestled in a peaceful, tranquil setting on the edge of the Galloway dark sky park. Refurbished in the summer of 2016, but still retains many period features and charm. Located in a beautiful rural area, on the outskirts of the village of Colmonell, in the pretty Stinchar valley. Within easy reach to the picturesque seaside town of Ballantrae. The spectacular Ayrshire coastline and countryside is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with numerous country tracks and coastal trails to explore, ideal for cyclists, walkers, mountain bikers and hikers. Golfers are also well catered for with an array of local courses and the championship courses of Turnberry and Troon close at hand. You can also enjoy a scenic boat trip round the beautiful Ailsa Craig Island, or catch the ferry to Ireland, from the nearby port of Cairnryan. Entering the single storey cottage you will find the well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. From the kitchen you enter the cosy lounge with TV/DVD, iPod dock and feature fire place and multi fuel stove (first basket of logs included). Next to the lounge is the king size bedroom with its wood burner (first fire log included). The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. There is an enclosed front and rear garden, with seating areas and BBQ it is a wildlife lovers paradise with birds and red squirrels often visiting the secluded garden. At the front of the cottage there is ample off road parking.
