On the Wild Atlantic Way, the area offers a peaceful retreat for anyone, yet still within 16 miles of the historic town of Kenmare with its great selection of cafes, traditional pubs and wonderful restaurants. Local attractions include numerous scenic drives, fabulous walks and hikes, and swimming at the local pier, 3 miles. Horse riding, water sports and golf are available at Kenmare. Killarney with its glorious lakes and national park is 37 miles. Angela’s Farmhouse also makes a great base for discovering West Cork- the Healy Pass to Glengariff,18 miles, is a scenic wonder. Dereen Tropical Gardens are 1 mile from the house. Enjoy fresh seafood at the pub on the pier at Killmakilloge, 3.5 miles, or savour the home cooking at the local restaurant, 4 miles, or at the seasonal café, 1 mile.
