These two thatched holiday cottages (refs W32306 and W32307) are built in the traditional style, simple yet comfortably furnished, and both feature open fires. The cottages have been visited by guests from all over the world, in the 1970’s, Gene Kelly was a visitor and the Horslips Celtic rock band used to rehearse and compose here. They are conveniently located near a traditional village pub, shop and a tennis club. The surrounding area provides some fantastic opportunities for walking and rambling, with the Slieve Mountains just a short drive away. Lough Derg, renowned in Ireland for many watersports, fishing and walking in gorgeous woodland, is on your doorstep. A horse riding school is within easy reach for a variety of rides up to all day treks. This area is a prime location for a golfing holiday, and there are eight golf courses within driving distance, as well as four excellent horse racing courses. There is so much to do in this unspoilt part of Ireland, and these gorgeous cottages are perfectly situated to see it all. Shop and pub 100 yards, restaurant 3 miles..
