This detached, single-storey cottage is ideally located for anyone wanting to tour the area or to simply take some time out in the clean country air. The owners breed horses, and they are often in the field beside the cottage. Tom’s House is less than 10 miles from Knock Airport, and Knock Shrine is 15 miles away. Kilmovee is a quiet village with a church, pub and shop, but Ballaghaderreen is only 5 miles and has a larger choice of shops, restaurants, pubs and a golf course. Castlebar and Sligo are only 30 miles away, with Westport 40 miles. Céide Fields, Connemara, Achill Island and Strokestown Park House all make great day trips. Walkers are spoilt for choice in the immediate area, with miles of quiet roads and boreens to stroll along, as well as hills and mountains a short drive away. There is a beach at Enniscrone, near Ballina, for those looking to spend time by the coast, and there are also sandy lakeshore beaches near Foxford on Lough Conn. Beach 40 miles. Shop and pub 2 miles, restaurant 5 miles.. Approximate distance to Knock Airport is 30 km.
