This comfortable cottage boasts a double sided wood burner in-between the dining area and living area to ensure you have a cosy stay all year round. Marjorie Cottage has an enclosed garden, a well-equipped kitchen and as it’s situated on the edge of the village, it has wonderful views from the front of the cottage, of the beautiful surrounding Warwickshire countryside. This is an ideal place to stay for friends, family or guests who are working in the area and for visiting the fabulous towns of Stratford-upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick, which are all approximately 7 miles away.
Wellesbourne is famous for its large Saturday market and there is a great choice of pubs in and surrounding the village. There are many places to visit including National Trust properties; Charlecote Park just 1 mile away, a 16th century home set in a landscape deer park, Upton House and Gardens, 9 miles away, Hidcote with its beautiful gardens is 10 miles away and Farnborough Hall is 11 miles. No visit to the area would be complete without a visit to Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon where you can take in one of his plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company, take a look inside his birthplace on Henley Street, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Mary Ardens Farm. Enjoy a boat trip on the River Avon or simply meander through the shopping streets and eat at the many independent and high street cafés, restaurants and pubs.
Warwick Castle is a fun day out for all the family where you can try your hand at archery, dare to tour the dungeons and take in the history. Royal Leamington Spa is just 8 miles away with its wide boulevards, beautiful architecture, award-winning parks, a large selection of independent specialist boutiques along with high street brands and fabulous spas, restaurants and entertainment venues. The National Agricultural Centre is also within easy reach. There is good train connections from Royal Leamington Spa or Warwick Parkway to London and Birmingham. Marjorie Cottage is also a great location to quickly get into the beautiful Cotswolds with its many quintessential towns and villages that make this area famous.
