This traditional blacksmith’s workshop lies part way up the Black Mountain and has fishing rights for the river just over the road. . Ground Floor:

No smoking.. Originally an old blacksmith’s workshop this lovely semi-detached cottage, dating back to the early 1600s, has been restored to a high standard with exposed beams and stone walls. It lies 4 miles from LLangadog, nestled between the villages of Gwynfe and Llanddeusant, which lies part way up the Black Mountain in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This property has a private gated patio at the back and to the front, accross the road, is the River Clydach, where you can fish for salmon and trout (licence required).
It is a fabulous area for walkers and their dogs, cyclists and those just wanting a quiet relaxed holiday. Make sure to visit the glacial lake of Llyn Y Fan Fach known locally as The Lady Of The Lake. In the east of the Brecon Beacons National Park you will find The Black Mountain range. There is a plethora of walks to be had in this area with some outstanding views of the open countryside. Another area of interest is the local kite feeding station where you can get up close and personal with these magical birds.
The National Show caves for Wales, Dan Yr Ogof, are roughly 7 miles from the property, children will love the dinosaur exhibits. The lovely town of Llandeilo is 7 miles away with its beautifully coloured properties, an abundance of coffee shops and quaint gift shops not to mention the local gin festivals and Jazz festivals. The market town of Brecon is 30 minutes away, and the town of Llandovery is 15 minutes away by car. Whatever you decide to do on your holiday this property is a fabulous base to start and finish. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
