Only a short distance from the property is Craig's Farm Dairy, with tea room and farm shop, ideal for buying fresh milk, cheeses and lovleyl ice cream. A 5 mile drive will find you in the bustling seaside town of Weymouth, with a wealth of bars, restaurants, shops and activities, and not forgetting the three mile stretch of idyllic sandy beach, and host of traditional seaside entertainment during the summer months it is a great place to spend the day. The South West Coast Path leads you to Osmington Mills, a beautiful coastal hamlet, known for its colourful history of smugglers, who reportedly took refuge in the local Inn, called The Smugglers Inn and which dates back to 13th Century. Also recommended ia a trip East to the unique and beautiful Lulworth Cove; spend the day on the sheltered shingle beach, or enjoy a meal at one of the local pubs or restaurants. An energetic walk from Lulworth Cove over to Durdle Door offers the perfect opportunity to admire the striking views over the Jurassic Coastline with its unusual geological formations.
