COVID-19
Coronavirus~ Burnbrae Holidays is a wonderful place to self-isolate. We will change duvets, pillows, mattress protectors (as well as bed linen and towels) between guests. We will carry out extra cleaning as per the very detailed protocol from the Scottish Government. I have completed the recommended cleaning/ disinfection training as recommended. We will be closed for a night between guests, to let the cottage ’air’ and to allow me time to carry out the extra cleaning. This has already been blocked out. The laundry room with the washing machine and tumble drier, books and games will be closed to guests. Please let me know if you would like to borrow a specific game for the duration of your stay. Please ask me for more clarification. If you prefer, we can leave the cottage unlocked for your arrival. There are many local walks and cycle routes where you are unlikely to meet anyone due to the lack of people. Or sit and relax while admiring the wonderful rural views and amazing birds in your cottage garden.

Mungos Well self-catering cottage has a wood-burning stove to ward off the chill and is a fabulous feature to return to after a day exploring the many historic Abbeys and houses and gardens of the local Border towns. The property is all on one level with easy, level access to and from the car park. The views from the south-facing conservatory, over the shared cottage garden and Eden water to the Cheviot Hills are wonderful and you have access to the surrounding fields and riverside from your cottage door. A welcome tray with home baking is waiting for your arrival.

Mungo s Well cottage has it's own private, south-facing conservatory from which to watch the amazing birdlife in the shared cottage garden.
The cottage has a wood burner, for which we supply home-grown wood, and central heating throughout.
Mungo’s Well has a well-equipped kitchen, living room with dining area, (dining table, chairs & crockery for 4 people). The living room has comfy seating for 3, SMART TV, mini Hi-Fi with CD player and docking.
The bedroom has a 6ft wide bed which can be made up as twin upon request.
The clean bright bathroom has a shower over the bath and lots of hot water from our bio-mass boiler.
There is a laundry room and a lockable cycle, fishing and golf equipment store for which you can have a key.

There is a studio on site which can be hired for a workshop or a small event, for groups of 2 -12 people.
My family and I live on-site so are available to help you get the most out of your holiday including offering any suggestions to help you find your way around the local area with its many attractions. Please feel free to phone me or ring my doorbell.
