Cardy Cottage sleeps 4, pet friendly, sea views near St Andrews, Lower Largo

Fife. Sleeps up to 4

Cardy Cottage is a grade C listed building located in the historic seaside village of Lower Largo in the picturesque East Neuk of Fife, 10 miles from the historic town of St Andrews famed for its golf and university.

The cottage is quite literally a stones throw from the beach and has open views across the Firth of Forth to the Lothians and Bass Rock. Fall asleep listening to the waves lapping the shore a few yards from the front door.

Lovingly restored and finished in a modern contemporary style this cosy and comfortable holiday cottage will sleep 4 in comfort and features everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. We allow one behaved pet (a small charge is levied for pets).

The village of Lower Largo is famed for being the birth place of Alexander Selkirk (the real Robinson Crusoe) and Cardy Cottage is situated a few yards from the Crusoe statue which marks the spot where Selkirk was born and spent his early years before embarking on his adventures.

The Fife Coastal path runs past Cardy Cottage, bring your walking boots and do as little or as much of the path as you want. The excellent local bus service means one way walks are a distinct possibility.

There is a small shop in the village selling basic essentials as well as the popular and hospitable Railway Inn and Crusoe Hotel and Restaurant, which serves great value meals at lunch and dinner 7 days a week. The shop, pub and hotel are within a 5 minute walk of the cottage.

Further afield the nearest supermarket is 3 miles away in Leven and there are a wide variety of eating places within easy striking distance, ranging from the Michelin starred restaurants to award winning fish and chip shops as well as multiple quality farm shops and markets.

Simon and Becca look forward to welcoming you to Cardy Cottage where we are sure you will have a wonderful stay.

Located in Leven, this cottage is near the beach. Fife Folk Museum and Scottish Fisheries Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include La Petite Epicerie and Bongos Soft Play Centre. Consider Backhouse Rossie Estate for a night out or Fife Ice Arena if you're traveling with kids. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including golfing.
