Conversion of a Victorian schoolhouse enjoying a peaceful village location, Warham

Norfolk. Sleeps up to 8

A simply fabulous conversion of a Victorian schoolhouse enjoying a peaceful village location, wonderful open views across farmland, and a heated outdoor pool available from May to end of September. And all within a very short drive of the coast. Just perfect!

Of Norfolk flint construction, and with pale grey Georgian Crittall windows, The Old School House is as pretty as a picture. Once through the entrance door of the old Boy's Porch you will soon realise that the beauty continues within. There's no worry of feeling you are back at school. Far from it! The interiors are stylishly laid back, oh so comfortable, and designed with great flair. You will find divine fabrics, warm coloured walls and an eclectic mix of antique finds and painted French style furniture throughout, which cleverly allows all the rooms to flow seamlessly into one another. Artworks, modern and not-so-modern, adorn the walls, adding interest and colour to every room, whether it's the adorable children's bedroom with its hand-painted mural or the seriously grown-up superb master suite.

With three beautiful reception rooms you are really spoilt for choice. A stunning full-height sitting room with galleried landing has sumptuous sofas to sink into along with a wood burning stove to light on chilly days. There's also a second cosy sitting room with an open fire where you can settle down to watch television or maybe enjoy listening to the piano in the adjoining hallway (though you do need someone who can play - and well, ideally!). Finally, a lovely light-filled vaulted wooden dining conservatory has double doors leading out into the garden - just the spot for a long lunch on warm spring or summer days. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped and runs through to a dining area - a sociable, lazy Sunday brunch springs to mind.

With an en-suite double bedroom on the ground floor, three further bedrooms on the first floor (double, children's twin and super-king master) and two bathrooms (one is en-suite), this lovely house will appeal to families, friends and couples. Indeed anyone who enjoys peace, luxury, comfort and space. And, don't forget, a swimming pool too!

Once you arrive at The Old School House, you may very well want to stay put for your entire holiday, but should you feel the need to explore this lovely part of North Norfolk, you will find plenty of things to do to suit everyone.
