Guests at Fernbank Lodge and Fernbank Cottage can easily walk into Garstang in around 20 minutes. Also within walking distance from the property is the quaint village of Scorton, just a scenic 2-mile walk along the River Wyre, and home to an increasing number of popular cafés. The historic town of Lancaster is just 9 miles away, where there are numerous shops, pubs and restaurants, Williamson’s Park, home to the beautiful Ashton Memorial, and also the Butterfly House. The historic castle, where the famous Lancashire Pendle witches were brought for trial, is also nearby. The picturesque Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can also be reached in under half an hour’s drive, offering a number of scenic walks and many more local eateries. The Fylde Coast, home to the popular seaside resort of Blackpool, famous for its tower, Pleasure Beach and annual illuminations, is just 15 miles away. Whilst the south Lake District can also be reached in just over 30 minutes. Beach 16 miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
