There are good independent food shops, cafés, gift shops, a swimming pool and lovely walks along the River Tweed to enjoy. Melrose and Kelso also have ancient abbeys and interesting galleries and craft shops, along with magnificent Floors Castle and Mellerstain House. Good hillwalking, fishing and golf can be found locally, with quiet roads and cycle paths to explore. Shop 155 yards, pub and restaurant 110 yards.
