Situated in the Northumberland National Park in the pretty village of Harbottle, this comfortable cottage is a great base from which to explore the surrounding area including the impressive heritage coast and its castles .
The small village pub, castle ruins and river are only a short walk from the cottage, and there are another two pubs in nearby Alwinton, 1½ miles away, which serve food. Cycle routes ‘Pennine Cycleway’ and ‘Sandstone Way’ pass the front door, and the Drake Stone is visible from the garden, which is an enjoyable walk up from its forest base with great views of the village, lake and forest hidden behind it.
The traditional market town of Rothbury is 15 minutes away with a wide range of amenities. The popular town of Alnwick is 30 minutes away.
