Lancombe Lodges are set in three acres of glorious Thomas Hardy country, in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Dorset and near the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, including Chesil Beach. These wooden lodges offer an idyllic retreat amongst a breathtaking landscape of rolling countryside, a perfect base for exploring, where there are free-roaming chickens on-site, and neighbouring livestock. Each lodge has its own decked patio where you can chill out after a day out, or relax in the three acres of grounds, enjoy a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool or an invigorating sauna. Broad Lodge and Wey Lodge guests can also enjoy their own private hot tub. There is also a shared spa room which offers massage and beauty treatments. Perfect for the younger generation, there are fairies in the woods for the children to find. There are many country walks nearby with natural trails such as the Wessex Ridgeway. For scenic coastal walks, the spectacular Jurassic Coast with stunning views over Lyme Bay is a must. Explore the seaside resorts of Weymouth, West Bay, Charmouth and on to Lyme Regis, taking in some fossil hunting, swimming and boating. Enjoy historic houses such as Athelhampton House and Gardens, Mapperton House and Gardens and Forde Abbey and Gardens, and family attractions at Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Bovington Tank Museum and Sea Life Centre at Weymouth. Within an easy drive is the county town of Dorchester with shops and restaurants, or further afield the historic town of Sherborne with abbey, the market town of Bridport, Swannage and Poole, or enjoy golf, fishing, horse riding or go-karting.
