Beautifully located on a working farm in Gala Water, accessed by arough track, this property sits on a row with two similar properties and boasts glorious outlooks over rolling hills. Beech Tree Cottage is at the end of the terrace and is a beautifully furnished, single storey holiday cottage, providing a welcoming haven of peace and comfort.
The property is within easy reach of Edinburgh, just 40 minutes by train from Stow, or take advantage of the convenient park and ride, just 17 miles away. Hill climbers and mountain bike enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby hills which can be accessed from the doorstep, with a waymarked route on an old railway line, and a Pictish settlement to explore nearby. Mountain biking and GoApe at Glen Tress are just 24 miles away, and there is also golf at Torwoodlee. A tennis court located near the owners farmhouse is available for use by guests free of charge, just a 5-minute walk from the cottage. Hire of the court is by the hour, and bookings must be made by prior arrangement with the owner. Appropriate flat footwear with no treads must be worn, and racquets and tennis balls are also available to hire at a small fee should you require them.
Beech Tree Cottage can be booked together with Holly Tree Cottage (CC538055), Rowan Tree Cottage (CC538056) and Pine Tree Cottage (UK5515) to accommodate up to 18 guests. There is also a detached property nearby called South Lodge (30464) which can accommodate another 4 guests.
