Guests are also very close to the NT property Powys Castle, with 3 others within 45 minutes, Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park. The Welshpool to Llanfair steam railway, Montgomery Canal, and Lake Vyrnwy are all local and well worth a visit. Quad biking, paintballing and horse riding are all available locally, and watersports can be found at Bala Lake and in Llangollen, a 40-minute drive. Historic Shrewsbury is 30-minute drive, and the west Wales coastline is approximately a 1 hour drive. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1¼ miles.
