Tennis courts, steam room and gym with exercise classes and children’s activity programmes are also available, and there is a clubhouse with bar and restaurant serving snacks and meals throughout the day. Leisure passes are available on arrival, at cost. There is an on-site mini-market shop. The Needles, with chair lift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay, are a short distance away. The 17th century Calbourne Water Mill, Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House and Gardens are a short drive away. Historic Yarmouth is worthy of a visit and the island can be easily explored from the open-top buses that stop regularly at various collection points across the whole island. Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, is nearby, and island attractions include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Pearl, Dinosaur Isle and a donkey sanctuary. Beach 1 mile.
