This semi-detached cottage with enclosed garden dates back to 1900 and has been fully renovated and modernised to offer cosy well-equipped holiday accommodation. Guests have access to a shared outdoor swimming pool, which is located in the owner’s garden next door. It is heated by solar panels (temperature depends on the weather), and towels are provided. There is parking for two cars, which is within the enclosed garden.

In a quiet location on the edge of a village, it is an ideal area for walking/cycling with many footpaths and cycle routes and a great base for touring the Wiltshire and Somerset countryside. Within a short drive are the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe, both favourite locations for TV and film directors. Lacock features in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice and Castle Combe in War Horse, The Wolf Man and the original Dr Dolittle. For the racing car enthusiasts is the Castle Combe race track.

Also close by is the town of Devizes with its famous Caen Hill Locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal and the Westonbirt Arboretum which is one of the UK’s best. Bowood is a spectacular mansion set in beautiful gardens with an adventure playground. The Roman spa city of Bath and the ancient stones at Avebury and Stonehenge are also popular visits all within a short distance. Chippenham, 5 miles, is an old market town with a good selection of shops, supermarkets, cinema, pubs and restaurants. The town of Calne is 4 miles away. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
