A friendly greeting awaits visitors to the picturesque village of Bardon Mill where the A69 is within easy reach giving easy opportunities to explore this historic region by car. Or why not take the train conveniently only 250 yards away? Bardon Mill is on the Newcastle to Carlisle railway line with a service in each direction every two hours. Visit the vibrant city of Newcastle, around 30 miles east, or Carlisle, 27 miles west. The Coach House Cottage is also a superb base for those looking to explore the historic charms of Hadrian’s Wall Country. Haydon Bridge offers ample facilities only four miles east and Haltwhistle, geographically acknowledged as ’the Centre of Britain’, has many amenities including several shops, restaurants, a sports centre and an outdoor swimming pool. The historic market town of Hexham, dominated by its majestic abbey, offers an abundance of amenities, eight miles.
