This was once an old fishing village and then catapulted to the centre of the tourist boom in the 19th century, when James Burton decided to create a smaller Brighton. This is an original seaside Regency new town, where there is a mile long promenade ideal for strolling or cycling along. Enjoy the vintage feel of the place with interesting antique shops, galleries, laid back cafes and with a Kino cinema 300 yards away. Enjoy a walk into Hastings old town, where guests can see the iconic net huts, medieval cottages and enjoy fish and chips. You can hire bikes or take a bus to Battle Abbey and soak up the history. The station is also close by and will enable you to not only visit our splendid capital city, but nip across to France or Belgium via Ashford International. Bexhill, Camber Sands and Rye are very good day trips. Beach 500 yards. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.
