Situated between Shaftesbury and Sherborne in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, The Acorns is a characterful annex for four, separate from the owners’ home in a peaceful, rural setting. There’s much to say about this beautiful area of Dorset; Shaftesbury is famous for its Gold Hill, and the historic market town of Sherborne features two castles and an abbey, making it a must-visit for history buffs. Within easy driving distance there are some superb family attractions to enjoy, such as Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Longleat House and Safari Park and more. Stourhead House and Gardens is well worth seeing, as is Salisbury Cathedral, and to the south, Sturminster Newton, Poole, Bournemouth and Blandford certainly won’t leave you short on things to do. There are scenic country walks in the area, fishing 2 miles away, and a number of local pubs to wine, dine and relax in. Beach 28 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
