Gas central heating, gas, electricity and bed linen included. Freeview TV. Gas cooker. Microwave. External laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer (at cost). Wi-fi (at cost). This single storey property is located on a holiday site, accessed via an unmade track in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Most of the surrounding land is owned by the National Trust, meaning that the countryside is left unspoilt. Scenic walks of particular note include West High Down, Tennyson Down and Monument, and Headon Warren, which offers some breath-taking views of The Needles.

Within the holiday site, there is a shop, a launderette, pitch and putt, an outside play area with football posts, and the property itself boasts some fantastic vistas over the downs and the sea. There is direct access from the cliff down onto an unspoilt, traditional sand/shingle beach. Just a couple of minutes’ drive is Freshwater, which features shops, a library, tea rooms, an indoor swimming pool and a number of friendly pubs. The multi-coloured cliffs of Alum Bay are about a 5-minute drive, and 10 minutes in the other direction is the historic sailing town of Yarmouth, fittingly named due to its position at the mouth of the River Yar.

As well as some splendid walks locally, there are also many tourist attractions to discover. One of the most popular attractions on the island is The Needles Park, which features a chairlift, boat rides, coloured sands, a lighthouse, amusements and glass-blowing demonstrations. Other attractions that lie in close proximity to the property include the UK’s oldest amusement park Blackgang Chine, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Calbourne Water Mill, various National Trust-owned homes and gardens, vineyards, museums, wildlife centres, The Isle of Wight Zoo, Isle of Wight Pearl, Carisbrooke Castle, Osbourne House, and one of the longest-running sailing regattas in the world, Cowes Week. Outdoor pursuits include golf, cycling, riding, sailing, fishing and diving. Beach 800 yards. Shop on site, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
