Retaining many of its original features, it provides accommodation which is predominantly on the ground floor and has the benefit of its own private walled garden and patio area with a gated entrance. For anyone wishing to relax and unwind, a wood burner and underfloor heating makes it suitable for year round breaks, and a lovely country pub, with beams, log fires, fine real ales and delicious food, is only a 15-minute stroll away. There are plenty of lovely country walks straight from the doorstep and the quiet country lanes make cycling a real pleasure in the surrounding area.

For those wishing to explore a little further afield, Lincoln, Stamford, Newark, Oakham and Uppingham offer antique centres, National Trust houses, castles and museums, and numerous pubs and restaurants abound to cater for all tastes. Those interested in WWII can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre, both only a short drive away. There are numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa. Rutland Water also offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides walking and cycling for all ages with bikes available for hire on-site.
