Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, is close by and is also home to a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of the National Park. The beaches of the Llyn Peninsula are also within easy reach, as is the beautiful island of Anglesey. Beach 5 miles. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant 8½ miles.
