Situated within over 5½-acres, and adjoining the owner’s home, Five Acres Cottage has been lovingly created to make a delightful and stylish 2 bedroom (both en-suite), holiday cottage. Approached down a long private driveway, the former smallholding now grazes cattle and sheep on the land at certain times, but guests are free to roam across the land when the animals are not grazing. The owner’s home dates back to the late 19th-century, but the holiday cottage is a later addition to the property. Outside there is a covered porch with seating and guests also have exclusive use of a garden area with table and chairs across the driveway, perfect for enjoying the lovely views or eating al fresco and watching the variety of birds that can be seen, including red kites and buzzards.
The setting is perfect for making the most of both coast and countryside, with the superb scenery of Cardigan Bay and the whole of Ceredigion within easy reach. A little over 7 miles will bring you to the attractive Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, where the colourful painted houses look so pretty around the harbour, and there is an array of chic shops, cafés and restaurants to enjoy. Just a few minutes’ drive further down the coast will bring you to the quaint, seaside resort of New Quay, where the houses cling to the rocks, and the long harbour wall is the perfect place to spot the frequent visitors of bottlenose dolphins. There are interesting towns and villages scattered across the whole area, all with their own unique cultural identity. Ceredigion is perfect for a weekend break or a longer stay with beautiful beaches, sandy coves, sea cliffs, caves and wonderful wildlife, spectacular sunsets and starry dark skies. Beach 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.
