The cottage makes a wonderful base for exploring this beautiful part of the Highlands of Scotland or to just relax and unwind in. Accessed by a track, it is surrounded by woodlands with a unique habitat which supports a large variety of wildlife and birdlife. This remote property also has access to 4G internet on all mobile phones and tablets.
The area is renowned for its excellent selection of walks, mountain bike trails, horse riding, golf and fishing along with a variety of water sports including white water rafting, canoeing and boat trips. Hopefully you will catch sight of the Moray Firth bottlenose dolphins on your boat trip. The Moray coastline has been voted amongst the top 20 coastal destinations in the world, and with its quaint coastal villages along with miles of unspoilt white sandy beaches, it is a well deserved award.
Only 30 miles away is the Cairngorms National Park and close to two major ski centres – the Lecht and Cairngorm, where you can take part in snow boarding, skiing and climbing in some spectacular mountain ranges. Take a trip along the only malt whisky trail in the world with two of the distilleries close by – the Dallas Dhu and Benromach.
Slightly further afield you can visit the Highland capital of Inverness, with its wide selection of shops, restaurants, museums, theatre and leisure facilities. Visit Loch Ness and the ruins of Urquhart Castle or some of the other historical sites including Culloden Battlefield and Fort George, along with Brodie and Cawdor Castles. So much to see and do for all ages. Beach 14½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4½ miles.
