Pixie’s Retreat is set on a quiet spot within Felmoor Park, with superb access to the A1 for exploring the abundance of visitors attractions around the county. This welcoming detached lodge offers comfortable living accommodation with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, set on a premier holiday park in 40 acres of private Northumbrian woodlands. There is a large decked sitting area to the rear of the lodge offering some privacy and to maximise the sun making it a pleasure to sit on your veranda and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The small private grassed area behind the lodge is a welcome addition if you have children with you. There is a small café/bar which opens on site for snacks and drinks. Stroll around the lakeside walk with the resident swans to admire, all in a peaceful setting. Pixie’s Retreat is only a few hundred yards from the Northumberland Country Zoo small animal zoo which is a children’s delight.
A visit to the ancient market town of Morpeth with lovely shops and restaurants should not be missed and only 10 miles north to the medieval town of Alnwick, with its famous castle featured in the Harry Potter films. The enchanting water gardens with the Grand Cascade and the worlds largest treehouse restaurant should not be missed. Felton is only 2 miles away and has a friendly pub with good food, post office, village shop and a locally renowned tearoom. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Heritage Coastline is only 5 miles to the east and has some of the most unspoilt beaches and rugged coastline in England, offering a good choice of footpaths, bridleways and cycle paths. Golfing is available at Burgham Park and is easily accessible, should you wish for a round whilst visiting. Beach 10 miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 2½ miles.
