Squirrels Leap Lodge is set on a pretty spot within Felmoor Park with superb access to the A1 for exploring the abundance of visitors attractions around the county. This cosy traditional style lodge with beam effects, offers comfortable living accommodation, set on a premier park in 40 acres of private Northumbrian woodlands, with lakeside walks in a quiet and peaceful setting. With large decked sitting area to maximise the sun it is a pleasure to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The small private grassed area behind the lodge is a welcome addition if you have children with you. The small café/bar is open on site for snacks and drinks and it is only a few hundred yards from the small animal park at Eshott Heugh which is a children’s delight. A visit to the ancient market town of Morpeth with lovely shops and restaurants should not be missed and it is only 10 miles north to the medieval town of Alnwick with its famous castle used in the filming of ’Harry Potter’. The enchanting water gardens with grand cascade, and the world’s largest treehouse restaurant should not be missed. Felton is only 2 miles away and has a friendly pub with good food, post office, village shop and locally renowned tearoom. The Northumberland Coast, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is only 5 miles to the east and has some of the most unspoilt beaches and rugged coastline in England, offering a good choice of footpaths, bridal ways and cycle paths. A small unfenced lake with swans is on-site with a pathway all the way round for a gentle stroll. Beach 9 miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 2½ miles.
