The incredibly beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park has many lochside, lowland and hill walks just a short distance away, including a Munro. Sports include golf, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, cycling and horse riding, and cruises around the loch and its many islands are available. Duncryne Hill is nearby and provides one of the best 360-degree views in Scotland and a spectacular panorama of Loch Lomond. A nature conservancy area is within walking distance, where a large variety of wildlife may be seen, including deer, ducks, geese, herons, raptors and swans. Local visits include distilleries and an aquarium. The numerous attractions in Glasgow and Stirling are within 40 minutes driving, or the former can be easily reached by train from Balloch, 4 miles away.
