These three holiday cottages are beautifully located in the peaceful Axe Valley where Devon, Dorset and Somerset meet. They have been sympathetically converted retaining character and charm to give spacious, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation. All cottages are single storey with easy wheelchair access, The Byre (ref 16018) and The Shippen (ref 16019) are both semi-detached and The Barn (ref 25497) is detached. An abundance of opportunities exist for walking, cycling, (nearby cycle path which is being extended from time to time), golf as well as fishing on the Nature Reserve Reservoir at Chard. Many local places of interest including the pretty, historic, carpet towns of Axminster and Chard, both with indoor swimming pools, P.O. stores, traditional inns and restaurants all to hand along with several quaint villages. Honiton, Forde Abbey, Cricket St Thomas, Hornsbury Mill, several NT properties and the beaches and attractions of Lyme Regis and Charmouth - part of the superb World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, all waiting to be explored. Other resorts include West Bay, with its harbour, and Seaton, which has its own tramway ride along the Axe Estuary, famous for its bird life, to Colyton. Sidmouth and Exmouth, Beer and Branscombe are all within easy reach. Shops and pubs 2½ miles.
