Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a reservoir. There are 8 steps and sloping banks in the grounds to the sea, 100 yards away.. With spectacular views overlooking the inner islands, the infamous Corryvreckan Whirlpool and towards Mull, Jura and Scarba, Craobh Marina Cottages (refs 31076, 31077, 31078, 31079, 31080 and 31081) are less than 100 yards from the sea, and have been carefully designed to capture the atmosphere and character of the West Highlands. All properties are terraced, except for Seil which is semi-detached. In the immediate area, there is wildlife to watch, boat trips to be experienced, fish to be caught, great walks to be explored and there are also horse riding opportunities. If you are an energetic walker, you can cross the Craignish Peninsula by walking to Ardfern, or even further to Craignish Point, with its views of the Dorus Mhor and Crinan. There is wonderful sailing around this part of the coast, with numerous safe anchorages. Craobh Marina offers facilities for the launching and recovery of boats, and also offers chandlery and marine diesel. Excellent food is available in the local pub, and also at a nearby hotel, about 2 miles away. Going further afield, there are monroes to be climbed, museums to be visited and even the opportunity to experience Inveraray Jail. Oban is only half an hour away, with its range of shops and major ferry terminus, with trips available to Mull, Iona, Colonsay and other islands. Other ferry services operate from Tayvallich, Kennacraig and Tarbet, giving access to further exciting locations. There is plenty of space for children to play around the cottages, and they can also explore the little wood and stream at the rear as well as the foreshore immediately in front of the cottages. The Mull of Kintyre, Fort William, Mallaig, Skye and even Inverness are all within a comfortable day’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
