The Brecon Beacons has lots to offer and is renowned as a natural playground for ramblers, bird watchers and mountain bikers alike. It’s also an International Dark Skies Reserve and recognised as one of the best places in the world to stargaze. There are a number of breathtaking walks for guests to enjoy including the iconic shimmering lake and peak of Llyn Y Fan Fach (Lady of the Lake). The nearby charming towns of Llandeilo, Llandovery and Brecon are rich in Welsh culture and offer traditional Welsh pubs, independent shopping and galleries, waiting to be explored. The area is rich in myths and legends with a number of historical sites dotted around the countryside, including the Brecon’s magnificent 10th century cathedral, Carreg Cennen Castle and the lovely gardens of Aberglasney Manor and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
