Please note the internal turning wooden staircase is a little steep with gaps up to 11.5cm. First Floor:

The grounds (not enclosed), extend to 9 acres which guests are welcome to use and include a large lawn and gravelled patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. Parking for 2 cars. Bike store. Washing machine and tumble dryer are available in a separate building, which also contains some exercise machines which visitors are welcome to use. Please note there is an open pond in the garden, so children must be supervised at all times. There are steps in the garden with no handrail extra care must be taken. . This charming holiday cottage is situated in magnificent Carmarthenshire countryside, on the edge of Brechfa Forest. Dating from the 18th century, Bryn Marlais cottage is now a delightful, self contained annexe of the owners’ home, located in a most peaceful rural setting, one mile outside the village of Brechfa. The comfortable accommodation has been awarded 4 stars by Visit Wales and is bursting with character and charm. Original stone walls and exposed beams feature throughout the cottage. A turning staircase leads up to the spacious landing with a recently fitted cloakroom and ample storage. Both bedrooms have been furnished in traditional style and offer the perfect resting place after a day of adventure. Bryn Marlais is set in 9 acres of grounds, which visitors to the cottage are welcome to use. The garden has a pond, along with a variety of shrubs, several seating areas and a bird feeding station, which proves popular with all the usual garden birds as well as the rarer woodpeckers, jays, nuthatches and goldfinches. Buzzards and red kites are often seen soaring high above the valley or resting in trees and on other vantage points around the cottage. Leading from the garden is an orchard area with several greenhouses. Adjacent is an area of rough pasture, which slopes up to a small bluebell wood and enjoys stunning views across the valley. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
