The first floor comprises of a living room with views overlooking the river, a family bathroom, a twin bedroom, a double room and a children’s room with a single and an additional pull out bed. The ground floor benefits from a twin bedroom a shower room with toilet a utility room, a TV snug and a kitchen/dining room.
Although Althorpe has lost its pub there are many restaurants and eateries in the area including the excellent Ferryboat in the next village. The Spar shop is within walking distance and Tesco, M&S, Debenhams and Frankie & Benny’s are three miles away. There are many good walks and cycle routes and several golf courses only a short drive away. Interesting places to visit include Epworth, the birthplace of John Wesley founder of Methodism, the award winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the Vulcan Experience and many wildlife and bird reserves. Lincoln, York, Beverley and Hull the 2017 City of Culture are all less than an hour away. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
