Gwynedd. Sleeps up to 4

A well-appointed double fronted semi-detached cottage, located on the outskirts of the semi-rural hamlet of Brithdir, three miles from Dolgellau in the Snowdonia National Park. Providing the perfect base for exploring the wild and rugged landscapes and stunning scenery of North Wales this cottage will suit couples and friends, a family, keen walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Llwyn Celyn is tastefully furnished throughout with quality oak furniture, lovely soft furnishings and fresh décor which all help to create a wonderful relaxing ambience and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The sitting room is cosy with two sumptuous sofas to relax into after a busy day out and about and the addition of a warming electric fire adds a warming glow on the cooler nights. The kitchen is well-appointed and fully equipped and the dining area is a lovely place to enjoy a meal together or just sit and chat or play one of the many boxed games, great for a fun filled family evening. Upstairs are two stylish bedrooms, both enjoying views extending towards open countryside and hillside scenery and the main bedroom boasts a king-size bed. A modern bathroom completes this delightful cottage. Outside, there is a great garden and patio area with furniture, enjoying the sun all day, sit and relax, with a glass of something on those balmy summer evenings after a day of activities. There is also secure bike storage which is handy as there are so many cycle routes to explore, mountain bike tracks and trails and the renowned mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin is just a short drive away. The beautiful sandy beaches of Barmouth, Fairbourne and Aberdovey, as well as Harlech Castle, a World Heritage Site are easy to reach too. Local shops, restaurants and pubs found at nearby Dolgellau and there are some fantastic walks from the doorstep with great access to Snowdonia which offers more wonderful walking opportunities. A little further afield, why not visit Blaenau Ffestiniog, home to a host of adrenaline-fuelled activities at Llechwedd Slate Caverns, Zip World Titan (the largest zip zone in Europe), Zip World Caverns and Bounce Below (deep mine zip wires and the largest underground system of trampolines in the world!) and for something a little less energetic, the well-known Ffestiniog narrow gauge steam railway will be loved by all. This lovely cottage is an ideal retreat to be enjoyed all year round.
