A lovely day can be spent circumnavigating the famous Loch and visiting not only the capital city Inverness but also the smaller villages on the other side of the Loch, some with great pubs and restaurants. The area has plenty of things to see and do with activities ranging from exploring Urquhart Castle, a classic romantic ruin jutting out into the loch, horse riding, cycling, fishing trips and cruising on Loch Ness, hoping to catch a glimpse of Nessie, the world-famous Loch Ness monster!
