Hauxley beach is great for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking, or just relaxing on the golden sands. The cottage has an enclosed garden, private parking, and a rustic interior. It's close to a wide range of amenities and the Northumberland Coast AONB, which makes it an ideal base for a retreat for a couple or small family. You enter the property into the well-equipped, country-style kitchen/diner, which leads through to the cosy sitting room with its wood-burning stove and smart TV. You can also relax in the bright and airy sun room, which opens on to the enclosed, south-facing garden, equipped with outdoor bistro table and chairs for alfresco dining. The sleeping accommodation is in the ground floor double bedroom and upstairs in the single bedroom. Both rooms are serviced by the ground floor shower room. You can enjoy nearby attractions such as the Hauxley Nature Reserve, just a short walk away, and Amble, where you will find the popular Harbour Village, a hub of shops and restaurants, including The Fish Shack, The Old Boathouse, and the Fat Mermaid Deli kitchen, all enjoying breath-taking sea views. A little further on is Warkworth, where you can tour the remains of Warkworth Castle, or stroll across the golden shoreline of Warkworth Beach, before practicing your swing at Warkworth Golf Club. Alnmouth Beach, a few miles up the coast, is also a popular area to explore, where you can join the walking trail from Amble to Bamburgh, or head to Northumberland National Park for further hiking trails.
