Having been tastefully renovated, Anchor near Ness on the Isle of Lewis is a beautifully appointed holiday home which offers well-presented and spacious accommodation, making it the perfect venue for a truly memorable family holiday. Inside the property is deceptively spacious with a fantastic open-plan living space setting the tone for the rest of the home. An expansive sitting area helps to create a sociable and snug space where guests can recline in comfort and enjoy spending quality time together. A TV, electric stove and reading corner help to complete the area. The cool, contemporary kitchen is just perfect for creating family meals and the open-plan nature of the area means even cooking can be a convivial experience. Meals can be enjoyed all together around the good-sized dining table and again, it’s all about enjoying time together in a well-planned and welcoming space. The warm welcome doesn’t end there with the three bedrooms offering an inviting place to rest your head after an exciting day of adventures. The fully enclosed gardens are a good size and ideal for the children to run around while you enjoy time chilling out on the decking area, before heading out for a packed timetable of activities. So what activities are on offer? Just a short stroll from the house is Eoropie beach which has gorgeous soft sands, dunes and loads of watersports so plenty to keep the whole family entertained. The area is best known for its adventure play park which will keep even the most energetic of children occupied for hours! Again within walking distance of Anchor is Sporsnis, a sports centre which has a swimming pool, sports hall and ten pin bowling, another great family activity. For a spot of culture, check out the wealth of art galleries and workshops in the area and stop off at the Gallery at Port of Ness known for its displays of the work of Anthony Barber. Also close by is a nature reserve and it is only a short but scenic drive to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse. Callanish and the Callanish Standing Stones are not far to drive and Stornoway is around the same distance. There is plenty to see and do in and around Stornoway making it ideal for a day trip from Anchor. Anchor gives its guests the opportunity to make holiday memories to last forever. The islands can be reached by flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness; or by ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert, or Ullapool to Stornoway.
