Diamond Cottage, Freshwater

Isle of Wight. Sleeps up to 4

Diamond Cottage is an idyllic, two double bedroom Victorian cottage set on a private lane in a semi-rural location in Freshwater Village and within easy walking distance to Freshwater Bay. The cottage is in a perfect base to enjoy a fabulous stay on the Isle of Wight, with or without a car. The cottage is close to various bus routes including the Island Breezer, cycle routes and public footpaths, whilst there are three excellent pubs, cafés, supermarket, shops, a cycle hire shop, golf course and beaches all within walking distance. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has a fresh, light, and airy feel, and enjoys rural views to the rear. There is a lawned, rear garden and generous patio area with table and chairs, and there is also space to the front of the property to leave cycles. A short walk will take you to your nearest pubs and eateries, including The Vine Inn, The Red Lion, The Freshwater Coffee House, and End of the Line Café. There are also food and coffee vans at Freshwater Bay and Yarmouth. Nearby landmarks of Golden Hill Country Park and Western Yar Lake are also worth a visit. For a full day out, head into the heart of the magnificent Isle of Wight AONB, where you and your loved ones can spend time ambling along the National Trust-owned The Needles Headland & Tennyson Down hiking area, brush up on local history and culture at the Dimbola Museum & Galleries, get up close with animals at the Tapnell Farm Park, or enjoy a day strolling along or sunbathing at one of many nearby beaches. Whether you are wanting a romantic weekend or looking to actively explore the Isle of Wight, Diamond Cottage is perfect.
